My name is Shanda Opsitos, and I am the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday teacher in the Ladybugs class. I hold a degree in Sociology and bring over 30 years of experience in the Early Childhood field, having served as a teacher, director, and teacher trainer throughout my career.
Outside of the classroom, I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 28 years. Together, we share our home with our beautiful 11-year-old daughter, Nora, and our furry and feathered babies.
My teaching philosophy is centered on helping children build confidence and knowledge through engaging, hands-on experiences and activities. Within our classroom family, I work diligently to provide a nurturing, safe, and fun environment where children are guided to be creative thinkers, enthusiastic problem solvers, and respectful individuals who care for others and their surroundings, growing and flourishing exactly as God intends. My goal is to partner with families and help plant the seeds of faith and the love of learning in each of my students.
