My name is Katie Sol and I am thrilled to be teaching the Busy Bees on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have always loved working with young children! It is so fun to help them experience the world for the first time and see their wonder and joy in the simplest things. Growing up, my mom ran a daycare in our home and I knew I would want to get into the field myself one day. I earned an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2008 and taught in the daycare setting for several years. Next I taught Preschool in Harrisburg for Capital Area Head Start which is where my passion for teaching really grew! The experience and training I received there has forever impacted me personally and professionally. Working with children with a range of backgrounds and developmental levels gave me the skills I need to manage a classroom successfully. When my husband and I decided to have kids I left Head Start to be home. We have 3 children – Camden, Adelyn, and Luka. Camden and Adelyn attended Faith and Fun for the past few years and loved their time here. Their experience supported my philosophy that Children learn through play and grow when they are in a loving environment. I am forever grateful for the impact Faith and Fun had on them! I feel incredibly privileged to be joining the amazing team here and to have a class of my own!
